LessonPad Terms of Use
These terms are a contract between you and Edita Stankeviciute trading as LessonPad ("we", "us") for use of the LessonPad app and website. By creating an account you accept them. If you are using LessonPad on behalf of a school or business, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.
1. What LessonPad is
LessonPad lets instrumental music teachers record spoken lesson notes, converts them into written homework using automated transcription and AI structuring, lets the teacher edit the result, attach short demonstration videos, and send the homework as a PDF by email to a student or parent.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 and a teacher (or acting for one) to hold an account.
- Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done under your account.
- One account per teacher. You may not share an account or resell access.
3. Your content and your responsibilities
- You own the recordings, homework, videos and student details you put into LessonPad. You give us permission to store and process them only so far as needed to run the service for you.
- You are responsible for the student and parent details you enter, for having a lawful basis to hold and use them, for entering correct email addresses, and for telling parents that you use LessonPad. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle that data on your behalf.
- Record only your own spoken notes. Do not record students, and do not upload videos of other people without their consent (or a parent's consent for a child).
- Do not use LessonPad for anything unlawful, abusive or infringing.
4. AI-generated homework
Transcripts and homework cards are produced automatically and can contain mistakes — a wrong note name, a misheard piece title, a target attributed to the wrong piece. You must review and correct homework before sending it. The app is designed for that review step. We are not responsible for the content of homework you choose to send.
5. Subscription and payment
LessonPad requires a paid subscription to use its recording, AI-processing and homework-sending features. There is no free tier and no free trial.
Subscriptions are available on a monthly or annual basis through the Apple App Store or Google Play. The available plans are based on the number of active students permitted during each usage period:
- Starter — up to 2 active students
- Teacher 10 — up to 10 active students
- Teacher 20 — up to 20 active students
- Professional 40 — up to 40 active students
- Studio 80 — up to 80 active students
The current price and billing period for each plan are shown in the app before purchase. Monthly and annual subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled through the subscriber’s App Store or Google Play account settings. Apple or Google processes payment, renewal, cancellation and any refund request under its own terms and policies. We do not receive or store payment-card details.
An “active student” means a student for whom a lesson is started or recorded during the applicable monthly usage period. A student already active in that period remains usable for the rest of that period. If the plan limit is reached, a further student cannot be activated unless the subscription is upgraded.
Subscription access may remain available briefly while renewal status is being confirmed by the App Store or our subscription provider. If a subscription expires, existing homework and previously uploaded material remain viewable, but new recordings, AI processing, homework sending and new demonstration-video uploads require an active subscription.
6. Availability and changes
We aim to keep LessonPad available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change or improve features, and may withdraw the service with reasonable notice, in which case you will be able to export or send your homework first.
7. Ending your account
You can delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion permanently removes all your recordings, videos, homework, lessons, students and the account itself. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms.
8. Liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Otherwise, we are not liable for loss of profit, loss of business, or indirect loss, and our total liability to you in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in that period. LessonPad is a teaching aid; it does not replace your own professional judgement.
9. Intellectual property
The LessonPad app, name, logo and website are ours. Your content remains yours.
10. Law and contact
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. Questions: support@getlessonpad.com.
